In 1901 BWYC became a charter member of the Southern Gulf Coast Yachting Association, and admitted to Gulf Yachting Association in 1922. Club Members have won sailing championships both regionally and nationally. We have one of the best youth sailing programs on the Coast; we maintain a fleet of club-owned boats in various classes to appeal to sailors of all ages and levels of experience. BWYC is organized as a private club for members and their guests. BWYC members may enjoy reciprocal membership privileges at most other GYA-member yacht clubs and many yacht clubs throughout the United States.
