Buccaneer State Park has 206 premium campsites with full amenities including restrooms, three bathhouses, and a central dump station. In addition to the premium sites, Buccaneer has an additional 70 overflow campsites with water & electricity that are set on a grassy field overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. The beach overflow sites are open on a limited basis.

If you prefer primitive camping, Buccaneer offers, twenty-five primitive campsites nestled in the back of the Royal Cay camp area. A shell road will take you deep into a wooded area near Grand Bayou. These sites are completely primitive with no service, but restroom facilities are available and located within 100 yards of the primitive camping area.

Buccaneer is an ideal location for family reunions, company outings or any outdoor function offering two covered pavilions with picnic tables, a large playground, and a Par 3, 18-Hole disk golf course! Jackson's Ridge Disk Course designed though the Mississippi Gulf Coast's beautiful natural setting has tight and open fairways, natural obstacles, and holes that come into play along the beautiful Gulf of Mexico. This 6359 ft course will challenge the avid disk golfer, yet will still be fun even for the most inexperienced player. There is no charge to play, however the normal park entrance fee is required. The playground has a rock climber, three swings sets, monkey bars, multiple slides, merry-go-round, firefighter’s pole, and a new sphere challenge climber. The playground is suitable for kids of all ages!
